In 2022, the Office of Research announced the creation of the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Research Excellence Award, recognizing "exceptional research productivity and commitment to excellence by a non-tenure track faculty member." Faculty in any full-time, non-tenure track faculty role at UGA for at least three years are eligible for this $2,000 award. See full details here.
In July 2021, UGA unveiled its first award specifically for non-tenure-track faculty -- the University of Georgia Award for Excellence in Teaching, carrying a $7,500 cash award. This award is primarily oriented towards lecturer-track faculty, as eligibility entails at least a 75% allocation to teaching and ten or more years of experience in a non-tenure-track role. See full details here.
Congratulations to the inaugural (2022) recipients of the UGA Award for Excellence in Teaching, Senior Lecturers Melissa Landers-Potts and Mark Huber!
